Meet Dr. Lori Valentino
Education & Training
Dr. Lori Valentino was born and raised in New York. She graduated Cum Laude from Binghamton University where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Health and Wellness Studies. She then attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, South Carolina. After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Valentino spent a year completing her internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Level One Trauma Center at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. During this time in Brooklyn, she also received her General Practice Residency.
Advanced Surgical Training
Dr. Valentino subsequently advanced her training with a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Miami, Florida. Her residency involved extensive rotations at four hospitals, including the Level One Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, as well as the University of Miami, Jackson South Hospital, and the Veterans Affairs.
Areas of Expertise
During her training, she gained a keen interest and proficiency in dental implants and bone grafting, impacted wisdom teeth, orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), management of complex facial trauma, benign and malignant pathology and reconstruction, management of temporomandibular joint disease, and anesthesia.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Dr. Valentino enjoys spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, and traveling. She provides comfortable and compassionate care to all her patients and is proud to join and serve the Tampa Bay community.
